SERVICES HELD FOR ERNIE LEWIS

   Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock for Ernie 
Lewis, 60, at the Hall Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Sailor of the 
Beaverton Methodist church officiating. Burial was in the Beaverton cemetery 
under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge. 
   Mr. Lewis died at this home in Beaverton township on Friday after a brief 
illness. He was born in Portage, Ohio on November 15, 1887, and has resided in 
the vicinity of Beaverton for the past 31 years. He was married to Nettie 
Cornell, who preceded him in death on December 25, 1933.
   Mr. Lewis was the chef at the college cafeteria at Michigan State College 
and for some time owned and operated a restaurant in Toledo, Ohio. Surviving 
are three brothers, Edward and Lester of Toledo, and Elroy of Sacramento, 
California; two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Mooney and Mrs. Edith Ripple of Toledo.
