Lidster of Gladwin died Sunday at the Midland Hospital Center. He was 89 and had been a resident of Gladwin County most of his life. Mr. Lidster was born August 31, 1890 at Cass City and was a retired farmer. He was married to the former Christena Priest in 1918. She died in 1957. He was married to Rose Wilson, who survives him, on September 13, 1958. Also surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Merle (Cleo) Arehart of Ludington, Mrs. Lester (Donna) Sauers of Scottville, Mrs. Raymond (Winnie) Rioux of Bay City, Mrs. Dorothy Robinson of Beaverton, and Mrs. Lyle (Norma) Benjamin of Gladwin; four sons, Harold of Penwater, Richard of Arizona, Kenneth of Ohio, and Jim of Alaska; three step-daughters, Mrs. Guy (Bertha) Slocum of Gaines, Mrs. Bertha Struble of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Mrs. Norman (Hazel) Shack of Wyandotte; a step-son James Wilson of Flint; 34 grandchildren, 58 great- grandchildren, and nine great great-grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday at the Gladwin Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Allen officiating. Burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery.
