Leo J. Loar, 80, of Beaverton, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999 at the Gladwin 
Living Centre in Gladwin following a long illness. Born Sept. 25, 1918 in 
Clare County, Leo was a machine operator and retired in 1980 from Robinson 
Industries after 25 years. He farmed all of his life and was a lifetime 
resident of Gladwin County. Leo married Bernadine P. Edgar Nov. 9, 1939 in 
Gladwin.
   He is survived by his wife Bernadine of Beaverton; four daughters, Pat and 
husband Gordon Goodman of Gladwin, Evelyn and husband Joe Brady of Beaverton, 
Linda and husband, Phil Vorce of Beaverton, and Judy and husband Louis Miller 
of Prescott; five sons, Gary, Michael, Dick, Harold and his wife Cathy, and 
Larry and wife Pat, all of Beaverton; two brothers, Robert and Basil, both of 
Beaverton; three sisters, Donna Jean Brewer and Ruth Brown of Gladwin and 
Beulah Timmons of Beaverton; 31 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. He 
was preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters and four grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held Aug. 20 at 11 a.m. at the Hall Funeral Home in 
Beaverton. He was buried in the Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery in Beaverton.
