Guernsey Rd., Beaverton, died suddenly Wednesday, Sept. 19, 1990, in the MidMichigan Regional Medical Center-Midland. Born in VanWert, Ohio, June 13, 1905, he moved to Gladwin County in 1920. Mr. Longstreth farmed and was a member of the Farm Bureau. Mr. Longstreth and the former Alma Scheele were married April 6, 1925, in Beaverton. Besides his wife, he is survived by 5 sons, Wayne, Lloyd and David of Beaverton, William of Brandon, Fla. and Donald of Coleman; 2 daughters, Mrs. Charles (Marie) Bennett of Beaverton and Mrs. Jerome (Norma) Densmore of Farwell; one brother, Gerald of Clare; 3 sisters, Mrs. Frances Dubey and Mrs. Opal Early of Roseville and Mrs. Arthella Land of Montrose; a step-brother, Arthur Witkoske of Connecticut; 4 step-sisters, Pauline Scheer of Gladwin, Rena Metzger, Martha Knapp, Edna May and Alma LeVee of Beaverton; 29 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard, April 23, 1984, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Donald Dengler officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township Cemetery.
