(Red) Longstreth, 60, of 5109 Roehrs Rd., Beaverton, died Tuesday, June 22, 1993, in the Mid Michigan Regional Medical Center, Midland, after a short illness. Born in Beaverton on Nov. 3, 1932, he had spent his lifetime there. Mr. Longstreth was a cement finisher for Spence Brothers in Saginaw until retiring in 1992. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Gladwin and Union Local 7 in Saginaw. Mr. Longstreth and the former Maxine Palastyi were married Aug. 9, 1958, in Gladwin. Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 sons, Mike and Bob of Beaverton and Jim of Gladwin; 4 brothers, Wayne and David of Beaverton, William of Brandon Fla. and Donald of Coleman; 2 sisters, Mrs. Marie Bennett of Beaverton and Mrs. Norma Densmore of Farwell; and 5 grandchildren. Services were held Friday at 11 a.m. from Our Savior Lutheran Church. The Rev. Donald Dengler officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel.
