N. Robert Maxwell, N. Robert Maxwell, 78, of Beaverton, died Monday, Dec. 5, 
1994 in St. Mary's Medical Center, Saginaw, following a sudden illness. Born 
Jan. 9, 1916 in Hope, he was a lifetime resident of Gladwin and Midland 
counties. Mr. Maxwell was employed as a boiler maker at Dow Chemical Co. in 
Midland for 32 years and retired in 1979. He was a member of the Beaverton 
Church of the Nazerene. Mr. Maxwell married the former Virginia Nash, Dec. 10, 
1949 in Gladwin.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Clayton and wife Linda and Dana 
and wife Lisa, all of Beaverton; 2 daughters, Tonya and husband Robert 
Campbell of Midland, and Nancy Styles of Jackson; 4 brothers, Donald, John and 
Jim, all of Beaverton, and Bill of Hope; 4 sisters, Martha Maier of Beaverton, 
Julia Jersey of Gladwin, Alice Thompson of Hope, and Laura Haskell of Sanford; 
11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
   Rites will be held today (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, 
Beaverton Chapel with Rev. Mark Moore officiating. Burial will be in the 
Beaverton Cemetery. Memorials contributions may be made to the Michigan Heart 
Association.
