Gladwin County Record
Timothy B. McCoy, 48, of Beaverton, died suddenly at home Aug. 1, 2002. Born 
October 9, 1953 to William and Betty (Stienbouer) McCoy in Saginaw, he was a 
case manager for Mental Health in Gladwin County. He had lived here for 35 
years and was previously from Freeland. He belonged to St. Anne’s Catholic 
Church and the Knights of Columbus in Edenville. He married Shawn (Torrez) 
McCoy February 15, 1975 in Sanford. 
He is survived by his wife, his daughter Amie (Robert) Blair of Tawas; his 
son, Kiel McCoy of Barksdale Airforce Base in Louisiana; his grandchildren, 
Devin and Dylan Blair of Tawas; his father and step-mother, William and Judy 
McCoy of Beaverton; two brothers, Mike and Rick McCoy of Beaverton; four 
sisters, Cheryl Breedlove of Beaverton, Melody Strait of Beaverton, Debra 
Kindy of Sanford, and Terri Zimmerman of Lansing; his mother-in-law, Beverly 
Torrez of Beaverton; a sister-in-law, Kelly Sargent of Beaverton; three 
brothers-in-law, Kurt and Vince Torrez of Beaverton and Joseph Torrez of San 
Diego; several nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death 
by his mother and his brother David McCoy. 
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne’s 
Catholic Church in Edenville with Rev. Fr. Todd Arnberg officiating. Burial 
took place in the Billings Township Cemetery in Beaverton. Visitation was held 
at the Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton Monday.
