Lester E. McKimmy, 72 of Beaverton, died suddenly at his home January 10. Born 
in Metamora, Ohio, on Feb. 19, 1897, he came to Gladwin County in 1907. Mr. 
McKimmy was a retired farmer and a member of the Beaverton Masons. He was 
married to the former Iva Mishler on Dec. 22, 1914, in Beaverton.
     Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Henry, of Newport News, Va.; 
one daughter, Mrs. June Kern, of Midland; two brothers, Ellis and Paul, of 
Beaverton; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Peterson, of Mt. Dora, Fla. and Mrs. 
Ethel Witkovsky, of Breckenridge; six grandchildren and three great 
grandchildren.
     Services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. 
Arthur Whisler officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery.
