Velma A. McKimmy, 81, of Beaverton, died Thursday, May 23, 1990, at the 
Gladwin Area Hospital after a sudden illness. Born May 17, 1909 in Gladwin 
County, Mrs. McKimmy is a life time resident and homemaker. The former Velma 
A. Cochran married Ellis L. McKimmy on July 3, 1927, in Beaverton, and he 
predeceased her on Aug. 21, 1972.
   Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. Darrel (Berniece) Wood and Mrs. Madonna 
Ladner Sherlock of Beaverton; one sister, Mrs. Goldie Colbeck of Saginaw; 6 
grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Services were held on Tuesday at 1 
p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Henry List 
officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township Cemetery.
