Robert E. McKimmy, 65, of 2724 Parkway Ct., Gladwin died Monday, Aug. 28, 
1989, in St. Luke's Hospital, Saginaw. Born in Detroit, March 10, 1924, he 
moved to Gladwin County in 1985 from Detroit. He was a member of the Fraternal 
Order of Moose and a carpenter for Local 118. Mr. McKimmy and the former Grace 
Marcella were married July 11, 1972.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, John of Midland and Stephan of 
Detroit; a step-son. Rick Bashlor of Inster; 2 brothers, Jack McKimmy of 
Beaverton and Thomas Spray of Westland; 2 sisters, Shirley Sammons of Detroit 
and Betty Osborn of Westland; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He 
was preceded in death by a step son, David Bashlor and a sister, Harriet 
Osborn.
Rites will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. from the Sisson Mathews Funeral Home. 
Burial will be in the Ridge Cemetery.
