He was a crane operator at the plant and was struck by a moving steel I beam last Wednesday. Mr. McLaren was born in Mills township, Midland county on May 10, 1923, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey McLaren. He was a veteran of World War II. ON August 15, 1942 he married Miss Eunice Winn at Hope, and has made his home in Beaverton since that time. He was a member of the Beaverton Rolland Harger Post 7303 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are his wife, Eunice; three sons, John, James, and Danny, all at home; three brothers, Mack, Louis and Wilbur all of Midland; four sisters, Mrs. Bernice Moll of Saginaw, Mrs. Phyllis Sondegger, of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Laura Donahue and Mrs. Catherine Stanford, both of Midland. Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon from the Beaverton Methodist church. The Rev. J. P. Hollopeter officiated. Burial was made in the Beaverton cemetery, with services under the auspices of the V.F.W.
