EX-RESIDENT DIES SUDDENLY

   Emma Rachel McMahon, 23, formerly of Winegars, died suddenly Monday at 
Portland, Ind., after a short illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday 
at 1 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home in Midland with the Rev. Donald Diehl 
officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery, Beaverton. Born in Gladwin on 
Dec. 25, 1939, she attended Winegars School before moving to Midland with her 
parents. She graduated from Midland High School and was employed by Armstrong 
Glass Co. in Dunkirk, Ind. 
   Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Letts (formerly Daisy 
McMahon) of Midland, a sister, Mary Jane McMahon, of Dunkirk, Ind.; a step-
sister, Debra Letts and three step-brothers, Aaron Rickie and Darrell Letts, 
of Midland; her grandfather, Glen Wirt, of Beaverton, and many aunts and 
uncles.
