RITES HELD FOR FRED MCMAHON

   Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home for 
Frederick H. McMahon, 76, of Hay Township, who died Friday at the Clare 
General Hospital following an illness of a week. The Rev. Alfred Saulsbury 
officiated and burial was in Dale Cemetery. A farmer near Winegars, Mr. 
McMahon was born on August 26, 1884, in Essex County, Ontario, Canada, and 
came to Gladwin County in 1897. He was married to the former Bertha Barkley on 
July 15, 1905, in Canada. She preceded him in death in 1907.
   Surviving is a son, Lloyd, of Winegars; a sister, Mrs. Ida Shanahan, of 
Windsor, Ontario; one grandchild, two great grandchildren, and several nieces 
and nephews.
