Gladwin County Record dated 09-21/1983 Column - 5 Page - 2  
Mina Hooper Metcalf, 84, of the Beaverton Manor, died Thursday, Sept. 14, in 
the Midland Hospital Center following a short illness. Born in Tobacco 
Township on January 2, 1899, she had spent her lifetime in Gladwin County.
   Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Elwood (Eva) Hund of Beaverton and Mrs. 
Robert (Blanche) Miller of Auburn; 2 sisters, Mrs. Rose Davis and Mrs. Edith 
Wilkinson of Beaverton; 3 brothers, Glen Hooper of Edenville and Earl and Fred 
Hooper of Beaverton; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great 
great grandchildren.
   Services were held Monday at 3 p.m. from the Beaverton United Methodist 
Church. The Rev. Bruce Hatch officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery. 
Arrangements were in charge of the Hall Funeral Home.
