Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Hall Funeral Home, with the Rev. John R. Scott, pastor of the Gladwin Methodist church, officiating. Burial was made in the Dale cemetery. Mr. Midkiff was born in Pomeroy, Ohio, on September 16, 1865. He spent 35 years of his life on a farm near Beaverton, and for the last six years made his home in Detroit with his daughter. He had been in very poor health for about three years. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; one daughter, Mrs. Clara Bruckner, of Detroit; one grandson, George DeVeney, of Beaverton; four brothers, Ottis, of Beaverton, Emmett of Washington, D.C.
