Lettie L. Midkiff, 99, of 3900 S. M-18, Beaverton, died Wednesday, May 29, in 
the Gladwin Area Hospital following a long illness. Born in Meigs County, 
Ohio, Sept. 25, 1885, she came to Gladwin County in 1914. She was a life 
member of the Royal Neighbors of America and the Well Drillers Auxiliary and a 
member of the Beaverton Senior Citizens Club, Farm Bureau and Golden Rod 
Rebekah Lodge 151.
   The former Lettie Hess, she was married to Otis Midkiff Jan. 30, 1906, in 
Ohio. He preceded her in death in 1974. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Eiva 
Page of Beaverton; one brother, Pearl Hess of Marion, Ohio; 2 grandchildren, 2 
great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
   Rites were held Friday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
Chapel. Services were by the Golden Rod Rebekah Lodge and burial was in the 
Dale Cemetery.
