CHARLES HENRY MILES

   Charles Henry Miles passed away at the home of his brother, John Miles in 
West Branch, June 6, of heart trouble, aged 73 years, 4 months and 15 days. 
Mr. Miles was born at Morenci, Lenawee county, where he spent his boyhood 
days, and at the age of 29 was married to Miss Elizabeth Brown of that place. 
   He engaged in the sawmill business, owning one in Ohio, and in 1894 moved 
his mill to Beaverton, where he spent the remainder of his life, his health 
failing him a year ago. His wife preceded him 12 years ago and he leaves to 
mourn their loss a daughter, Mrs. Norman Scott, and one granddaughter, of 
Flint, three brothers and three sisters, John of West Branch, Mich., Edwin and 
Orin of Morenci, Mich., Mrs. John Newell of Ashland, Ohio, Mrs. Clark Houtin 
of Clayton and Mrs. Amelia Newell of Madina, Mich.
   Funeral was held June 9 at Beaverton, with interment in Beaverton cemetery.
