SHORT ILLNESS TAKES O. J. MILLS

   Orton J. Mills, 80, died Saturday at his home in Beaverton after a short 
illness. Born on June 25, 1883, in Ogden Center, he came to Gladwin County 
from Clare County 31 years ago. A retired farmer, he was married to the former 
Myrtle Christian, who survives him, on August 25, 1906, in Ohio.
   Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Beaverton Methodist 
Church with Rev. Gordon Showers officiating. Burial waws in the Beaverton 
Cemetery.
