FORMER RESIDENT DIES SUDDENLY

   Leon S. Mitchell, 65, of 905 W. Baltimore Blvd., Flint, died suddenly 
Saturday at Houghton Lake of a heart attack. A retired Flint auto dealer, he 
was born in Metamora, Ohio, on March 4, 1896. He was married to the former 
Essie Smith on Nov. 30, 1916 in Beaverton. 
   Survivors include his widow, Essie; two daughters, Mrs. Erma Simberg, of 
Flint, and Mrs. Doris Hengy, of Clio; a son, Robert, of Flushing; a brother, 
Harry Mitchell, of Beaverton, and a sister, Mrs. Edith Carpenter, of 
California; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
   Funeral services were held in Flint Tuesday at 1 p.m., the Rev. Randall 
Roose officiating. Burial was in Dale Cemetery.
