State Police officers reported Mogg was hit by a car driven by Richard Lang, 29, of Highland Park. Mogg was in the center of the road when he was struck, the officers said. Riding with Lang were R. L. Winchester, Highland Park, and Dora Rice, of Minden. All three were reported injured when their vehicle left the highway after the accident and were taken to the Midland Hospital. Born on March 19, 1900, in Alfred, N.Y., Mr. Mogg was a self employed auto mechanic. A veteran of World War II, he had lived in Gladwin County for 52 years. A sister, Mrs. Jerry (Marie) Geer, of Beaverton, survives him. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Hall Funeral Home with Elder Alva Pendleton officiating. Burial services were held in Beaverton Cemetery under the auspices of the Beaverton V.F.W.
