VIRGILENE MONK

   Mrs. Vigilene Monk, 46, of Saginaw, died Friday, January 26, at St. Luke's 
Hospital, following an illness of two years. Born in Gladwin, September 9, 
1926, the former Virgilene Wesley had lived in Beaverton and Detroit and the 
past 17 years in Saginaw. She was married to Robert Monk in Saginaw August 25, 
1958.
   Surviving are her husband, Robert; two sons, Thomas and Richard Quintal of 
Saginaw; a daughter, Roberta Monk of Saginaw; five sisters, Mrs. Irene Scott 
of Beaverton, Mrs. Dorothy Ockerman of Detroit, Mrs. Viola Corbett of 
Beaverton, Mrs. Bessie Burke of Alliance, Ohio, and Mrs. Jessie Keeley of 
Beaverton; four brothers, Chester of Pewamo, Harry of Beaverton, Ronald of Mt. 
Clemens, and Donald of Bay City. Services were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the 
Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton with the Rev. Zina Bennett officiating. 
Interment was in the Beaverton Cemetery.
