M. ROBERT MORRIS DIES IN LANSING

   M. Robert Morris died in Lansing this morning. Burial will be in Beaverton, 
but other arrangements are incomplete. Mrs. Carrie Capling of Gladwin, Mrs. L. 
J. Budge and M. Gordon Morris of Beaverton, are sisters and brother of Mr.

SERVICES HELD FOR ROBERT MORRIS

   Services were held Friday May 27, at the Beaverton Presbyterian Church for 
M. Robert Morris, 78, of Lansing. He died May 25 in Lansing, after a short 
illness. Mr. Morris was born March 8, 1882 in Saginaw County, and was a 
resident of Gladwin County from 1899 until 1930, when he moved to Lansing. He 
married the former Vernie Oliver February 7, 1905 in Beaverton. Mr. Morris was 
a member of the Presbyterian Church and a charter member of the Beaverton F. 
and A.M. No. 453 Lodge.
   Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vernie Morris; two daughters, Mrs. Howard 
Whitmer, of Pleasant Ridge and Mrs. Chas. Fowler, of Harbor Springs; one 
brother, M. Gordon Morris, of Beaverton; two sisters, Mrs. E. Maude Budge, of 
Beaverton and Mrs. Carrie Capling, of Gladwin.
   The Rev. Verne Summers officiated and burial was in Dale Cemetery. Gladwin
