He lacked a few days of being 83 years old. The Morris family came from LaPorte, settled in Tobacco township, later moving to Beaverton. Mrs. Morris died in March, 1922. A few years later Mr. Morris went to Hillsdale to make his home. The body was brought to Beaverton Tuesday and taken to the home of his daughter, Mrs. L. J. Budge, where services were held Wednesday morning, March 15, at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. William Blanding, followed by burial at Dale cemetery. He is survived by a widow; two daughters, Mrs. L. J. Budge of Beaverton and Mrs. G. A. Capling of Gladwin; two sons, M. R. Morris of Lansing and Gordon Morris of Bayport; 10 grandchildren, Mrs. Charles Fowler of Montrose, Miss Lucille Morris of Lansing, Misses Edith and Lorraine Budge of Beaverton, Marian and Jean Capling of Gladwin and three granddaughters and one grandson of Bayport.
