EX-BEAVERTON WOMAN DIES

   Mrs. Vernie C. Morris, 77, formerly of Beaverton, died Monday at the home 
of her daughter, Mrs. Howard Witmer, in Pleasant Ridge, after an illness of 
two years. A resident of Lansing for the past 30 years, Mrs. Morris was born 
on June 5, 1884, in Coril, and was married to Robert Morris in Beaverton Feb. 
7, 1905. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1960.
   Surviving besides Mrs. Witmer is another daughter, Mrs. Charles Fowler, of 
Harbor Springs; three sisters, Mrs. M. G. Morris Sr., Mrs. Donald Ross and 
Mrs. William Stock of Beaverton; and six grandchildren. 
   Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian 
Church, Beaverton, with the Rev. Aaron Hyde officiating. Burial will be in 
Dale Cemetery. Mrs. Morris will be at the Hall Funeral Home until noon 
Thursday and then at the church.
