(Bud) Morris, 74, of Beaverton, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 1990, at the Masonic Home in Alma, after a long illness. Born in Bayport, Aug. 25, 1915, he moved to Gladwin County 50 years ago. He was a former owner of the Morris Hardware in Beaverton and a salesman for Jay's Sporting Goods in Clare. Mr. Morris was a member of the Beaverton Presbyterian Church and the Beaverton Masonic Lodge. Mr. Morris and the former Erma Perry, were married Oct. 5, 1941, in Beaverton. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Michael of Clarkston; 2 daughters, Val Raye Allen of Collegeville, Pa. and Rebecca Morris of Philadephia, Pa.; 2 sisters, Ferne Kunisch of Sebawaing and Gayle Smith of Sanford; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Oak. Services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Donald Keen officiated and burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery. A Masonic service was held Monday at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.
