CLARA M. MORSE

   Clara M. Morse, 81, of Beaverton, died Saturday, March 13, 1999 at 
MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. Born March 1, 1918 in Olson, Lee Township, 
Midland County, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Martha (Schaeffer) 
Tohm. Clara married Stanley Morse, Oct. 5, 1938. He preceded her in death in 
January 1961. She was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Gladwin 
and had worked at Robison' Jewerly in Midland for 27 years.
   Surviving are three son, Robert and wife Linda of Edenville, Terry and wife 
Judy of Marquette, Randy and wife Peggy of Beaverton; two daughters Janeane 
and husband Jack Young, and Sandy Yager, all of Beaverton; one brother, Carl 
and wife Alice Tohm of Midland; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
   She is also survived by her extended family, Robert, Theresa, Blake, Tad, 
Patrice, and Anne Robison, who she developed a 35 year friendship and family 
relationship while working at Robison Jewerly in Midland. She is also survived 
by all the kind and dedicated caregivers who made her life so comfortable. She 
was preceded in death by a son, Ronald, in 1957.
   Services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Christ the King Lutheran Church in 
Gladwin with Pastor David Sprang officiating. Burial was in the Beaverton 
Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to MidMichigan Hospice of Midland 
or Gladwin or the donor's favorite charity. Smith-Miner Funeral Home, Midland, 
was in charge of the arrangements.
