Clarence V. Morton, 81, of Lansing, died Tuesday, Sept. 26. He had been a 
resident of the Lansing area for 47 years coming from Clare. He was a member 
of the Judson Memorial Baptist Church, and a Life Member of Beaverton Lodge 
435, F. & A.M. Mr. Morton had been employed at Oldsmobile for 35 years, 
retiring in 1958. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Surviving are 
his wife, Blanche of Lansing; twos sons, Don of East Lansing and William of 
Battle Creek; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Elksner of Salmen, Ore.; five 
grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Rites were held Friday in East 
Lansing and then he was taken to the Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton where 
services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, with interment in the Dale Cemetery.
