ALTA MURPHY

   Alta I. Murphy, 87, of 110 Knox St., Beaverton, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 1990, 
in the Gladwin Pines Nursing Home after a short illness. Born in Reese, Jan. 
31, 1903, she spent most of her life in Gladwin County. Miss Murphy was a 
clerk at McKeller's Drug Store in Beaverton and retired in 1968. She was a 
member of the Beaverton United Methodist Church and the Rebekah Lodge. 
   She was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest, as an infant; and 3 
sisters, Hazel Kitchen, Sylvia Grice and Flossie Keyes. Services will be held 
Friday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Janet 
Larner will officiate and burial will be in the Beaverton Cemetery. A Rebekah 
Memorial Service will be held Thursday evening. Visitation is afternoon 
Thursday.
