He came to this country in 1886. In 1887 he married Adeline Kerhoff. To this union five children were born, of which four are living. In 1900 he moved to Gladwin county, but the last eight years he has made his home in Saginaw. His wife departed this life on September 26, 1913. He leaves to mourn two sons, Charlie, of Gladwin and William of Saginaw; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Picfor of Elwood, Ill., and Mrs Adeline Brushaber of Beaverton, and nine grandchildren. The funeral services were held at the Dale M. E. church Saturday afternoon, Rev. A. J. Preston of Beaverton officiating. Interment in the Dale cemetery.
