Charles C. Neumann, 85, of Gladwin, died Monday, Feb. 18, at the Gladwin Area 
Hospital after an illness of two weeks. Born in Sand Creek on Jan. 10, 1889, 
he had lived in Gladwin County since 1929. Mr. Neumann retired in 1954 after 
25 years with the Gladwin County Road Commission. He was married to the former 
Grace Lake on June 19, 1915, in Gladwin.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Elmer of Lansing; one brother, 
William of Saginaw; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. A son, Earl, 
and a daughter, Ruth, preceded him in death. Services will be held Friday at 2 
p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. C. E. Howe will officiate and burial 
will be in the Dale Cemetery.
