NELSON OCKERMAN

   Nelson C. Ockerman, 73, of 1130 Ritchie Rd., Gladwin, died suddenly 
Tuesday, Oct. 7, at his home. Born in Gladwin County Nov. 1, 1912, he moved 
back here in 1974. Mr. Ockerman was a retired job settler for Burroughs Corp. 
He was married to the former Dorothy Wesley April 11, 1936, in Gladwin. She 
preceded him in death Sept. 13, 1976.
   Surviving are 2 daughters, Mrs. Joan Johnson of Union Lake and Mrs. Sue 
Colliau of Brighton; 2 brothers, Ralph of Onaway and Dale of Phoenix, Ariz.; 3 
sisters, Ivan Yeager and Vera Breault of Gladwin and Hazel Wilson of Dearborn; 
5 grandchildren and one great grandchild. A brother, Louis, also preceded him 
in death.
   Services were held Friday at 11 a.m. from the Sisson Mathews Funeral Home. 
The Rev. Carter Miller officiated and burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery. 
Memorials may be made to the Cancer Society.
