Ohmart, 72, passed away on Thursday, December 21, at his home in Beaverton, after an illness of over 15 years. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon from the Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Ernest Jehnsen officiating. Burial was made in the Dale cemetery. Mr. Ohmart was born on November 12, 1878, in North Manchester, Indiana, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ohmart. On January 19, 1901, he was married to Miss Jessie Heeter at North Manchester. They came to Beaverton 40 years ago and made their home on a farm in Tobacco township, moving to Beaverton eight years ago, when ill health forced Mr. Ohmart into retirment. Surviving are his wife, Jessie; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Rondo, of Saginaw, and Mrs. Helen Graff of Hart; two foster-children, Alvin Rise and Mrs. Esther Rise Taylor, both of Hart; one sister, Mrs. Fannie Pottenger, of North Manchester, Indiana; an aunt, Mrs. Fannie Hendrix, of Indiana; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers at the services were Clarence Beall, Paul Mishler, Paul McKimmy, Ed Wodek, R. L. Johnson and Perry Cowell.
