FLORA OLIVER Mrs. Flora Oliver, 84, died Thursday, March 8, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clarence Glidden, of Beaverton. Funeral services were held at the Brethren Church following prayer service at the home at 3:15, on Sunday, March 11. Rev. Henry Kreulen, assisted by Rev. E. S. Hollinger officiated and burial was made in the Dale Cemetery. Mrs. Oliver was born in Illinois, April 20, 1861 and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. North. She was married to John Oliver at Cedar Springs, Michigan on November 11, 1879. They moved to Tobacco township in 1887 and later lived at The Heights Houghton Lake, for about 30 years. They have made their home with Mr. and Mrs. Glidden recently. Surviving are Mr. Oliver, who was 94 years old last Christmas day; one daughter, Mrs. Clarence Glidden, of Beaverton; two sons, James Oliver, of Urbana, Ohio and Jay Oliver of Beaverton; one sister, Mrs. Emma Thorn, of Peris, California; two brothers, Claude North and Jesse North, both of Grand Rapids; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Oliver was a member of the Presbyterian church.
