Funeral services will be held at the Brethren Church on Sunday, at 2:30 p.m. following a prayer service at the Glidden home at 2 p.m. Rev. Henry Kreulen will officiate. Mr. Oliver was born on Christman Day, 1851, in Belfast, Ireland. He was married to Miss Flora North, at Cedar Springs, on November 11, 1879. She preceded her husband in death on March 8, of this year. They moved to Tobacco township in 1887 and later lived at The Heights, Houghton Lake, for about 30 years. Since that time he and Mrs. Oliver, until the time of their death have made their home with Mr. and Mrs. Glidden. Surviving besides Mrs. Glidden, are two sons, Jay Oliver, of Billings township and James Oliver, of Houghton Lake; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
