WESLEY C. PALMER

   Wesley C. Palmer, 74, of Owosso and formerly of Beaverton died Sunday, Aug. 
17, 1997 at his home. Born Sept. 13, 1922 in Saginaw, he was the son of 
William and Bertha (Granger) Palmer. He lived in Montrose for 20 years 
previous to moving to Beaverton and lived in Owosso the last four years. 
Wesley married the former Marie Sova, June 24, 1950, in Frankenmuth. He was a 
truck driver for various companies for over 40 years, retiring in 1982. He was 
a member of Teamsters local in Flint, the Montrose Masons, and Albright Shores 
Eagles. Wesley served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
   Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters, Carol and husband John 
Diem of Owosso, Tina and husband Robert DuBois of Wolverine, and Debra and 
husband John White of Clio; three sons, Dennis and wife Christine of Cedar, 
Gary of Oakley, and Keith and wife Cyndi of Beaverton; three sisters, Patricia 
Hayes, Billy Martin and Wanda DeSander; two brothers, Gene and wife Kay, and 
Dean and wife Beverly; 17 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and nieces and 
nephews. He was preceded in deathy by his parents, two brothers, one sister, 
one half-brother, and two half-sisters.
   Services will be held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) at the Jennings-Lyons 
Funeral Chapel in Owosso with Mr. Marion Ellis officiating. Burial will be in 
the Beaverton Cemetery. A Masonic service was held yesterday (Tuesday) at 7 
p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
