Gladwin County Record dated 02-09/1922 Column -  4 Page - 5   
James Knox Patterson, aged 76, died at St. Mary's hospital, Saginaw, Jan. 26, 
1922, after an operation which he came through successfully, but death came 
unexpectedly. Mr. Patterson had resided in the vicinity of Beaverton since 
1908, and was held in high esteem by a large circle of friends. He was born in 
Seneca county, Ohio, and married Miss Lydia Rhinehart of Sidney, Ohio, June 
11, 1876, who survives him, with two daughters and a son; Kate, Mrs. E. C. 
Reiley, living near Beaverton; Melvina Adell, Mrs. C. A. Barnhart, New 
Carlisle, Ohio, and Edward Forest Patterson, Denver, Colorado. 
   Funeral services were conducted at the church of the Brethren by Elder Wm. 
Neff.
