ILLNESS FATAL TO CLIFTON PAXTON

   Services for Clifton W. Paxton, 73, of Beaverton, who died Sunday after a 
short illness, were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Dale Methodist Church. Born 
in Ohio on July 27, 1892, he had lived in Gladwin County for 62 years. He was 
a retired farmer.
   Mr. Paxton was married to the former Pearl Grant on Nov. 1, 1914, in 
Beaverton. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jane Finucane, 
of Beaverton; one brother, Dewey, of Clare; two sisters, Mrs. Leona Busick, of 
Grover Hill, Ohio, and Mrs. Mary Ross, of Beaverton; three grandchildren and 
one great grandchild. The Rev. Gordon Showers officiated and burial was in 
Dale Cemetery.
