PAXTON Funeral services were held yesterday for Mrs. Ida Jane Springer Paxton, 86, who passed away Saturday, July 13, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. David Ross, in Beaverton. The services were at 2 p.m. from the Ross home with Rev. Henry Kreulen, of Bay City, officiating and burial was made in Dale cemetery. Although Mrs. Paxton had been in ill health for many years and blind for the last 30 years she never complained of her affliction. Her husband preceded her in death February 15, 1940 and she had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Ross, in Beaverton, for the last seven years. Mrs. Paxton was a member of the Church of Christ. She was born December 5, 1859 in Hocking county, Ohio and was married to Joseph Paxton at Logan, Ohio, later living at Grover Hill, Ohio, before moving to Beaverton about 44 years ago. Surviving are two daughters and five sons --- Mrs. Mary Ross, of Beaverton; Mrs. Leona Busick, Grover Hill, Ohio; Homer, St. Johns; D. M., Gladwin; C. W., Beaverton; J. Russell and Dewey, both of Clare; one sister, Mrs. Laura Iler, of Lima, Ohio; 31 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
