CAROL ANNE PAYNE

   Funeral services for Carol Ann Payne, 15 month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
Clifford Payne, of near Beaverton, were held Sunday, Dec. 11, at the Beaverton 
Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Larry Grubaugh officiated and 
burial was in the Beaverton cemetery. The child choked, last Thursday, on a 
small piece of bacon that lodged in her throat. Unable to dislodge the food 
her mother rushed the infant to the doctor, but tempts to revive her were not 
successful.
   Survivors are her parents; four brothers, John W., James L., Daniel R., 
William J.; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Payne of Onstead and Mrs. Hazel 
Winn of Beaverton; and great grandmother, Mrs. Aaron Graves of Billings 
township.
