Pendleton, 83, died at his home in Beaverton Tuesday after an illness of two years. Born in Bay County on May 21, 1880, he was married to the former Lottie Histed in Munger on Dec. 10, 1898. He worked for the railroad and was a weight-master with the sugar beet industry, coming to Gladwin County in 1910. He entered the missionary field in 1912; and was an elder of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Beaverton. Surviving are his wife, Lottie; four sons, Alvin, and Donn, of Beaverton, Clifford of Pontiac, and Willard, of Gladwin; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Three sons and two daughters also preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Friday at the Hall Funeral Home with Elder Harold Keeley officiating. Burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery.
