ILLNESS FATAL TO FLORENCE PETERSON

   Mrs. Florence Jane Peterson, 86, died Sunday morning at  her home in 
Tobacco Township after a short illness. The former Florence Jane Mattice was 
born on August 11, 1875, in Coloma, and was married there to John E. Peterson 
on April 11, 1895. He preceded her in death on May 27, 1938. They had lived in 
Gladwin County since 1913.
   Surviving her are three sons, Ralph and Herbert, of Beaverton, and Harold 
of Flint; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. A daughter, Laura, also 
preceded her in death. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the 
Beaverton R.L.D.S. Church with the Elder Harold Keeley officiating. Burial was 
in the Dale Cemetery.
