Gladwin County Record dated 04-08/1987 Column - 3 Page - 2
Herbert R. Peterson, 82, of 2852 Guernsey Rd. Beaverton, died Monday, April 6, 
in the Clare Nursing Home following a short illness. Born in South Haven July 
29, 1904, he came to Gladwin County in 1920. Mr. Peterson operated Peterson 
Brothers Nursery and served in the Army during World War II. Mr. Peterson and 
the former Odilene Jones were married Nov. 14, 1947, in Franklin, Ky. She 
preceded him in death Dec. 23, 1985.
   Surviving are 2 nieces and 2 nephews. Two brothers also preceded him in 
death. Services were held today, Wednesday, at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral 
Home, Beaverton Chapel, with Elder Paul Schoun officiating. The body was 
cremated.
