Pobocik, 67, of Hope, died suddenly Friday, Jan. 13, 1995 at the MidMichigan Regional Medical Center - Gladwin. Born Nov. 21, 1927 in Swartz Creek, he resided in Gladwin County since 1987 when he moved from Swartz Creek. Mr. Pobocik was employed as a heavy equipment mechanic at American Body Co. in Flint until he retired in 1962 due to medical reasons. He was a member of the Albright Shores Eagles Club Aerie 3655 and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Mr. Pobocik married the former Mae Armstrong Feb. 11, 1950 in Flushing. Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Catherine and husband Tom Cox of Swartz Creek, and Phyllis and husband Bob Dickerson of Morrice; 2 sisters, Mary Klapko of Swartz Creek, and Sally Stasa of Owosso; and 3 grandchildren. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday from the St. Anne Catholic Church in Edenville with the Rev. Father Jules Spleet officiating and burial was in the Billings Cemetery, Beaverton. A Christian vigil service and special Eagles' memorial service were held Sunday evening at the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel.
