Joseph Edward Pratt, 19, of Davie, Fla., died Thursday, Oct. 3, 1996 after he 
was struck by lightning on the Broward Community College campus. Born Nov. 21, 
1976 in Midland, he resided in Davie for the past 6 years since moving from 
Gladwin. Mr. Pratt was a student at Broward Community College in Davie, Fla. 
He worked at Ekerd Photo Lab and enjoyed playing music and spending time with 
his friends.
   Surviving are his parents, David K. and Teri D. Pratt of Davie, Fla.; one 
sister, Angela Perez of Pembrook, Fla.; his grandmother, Daisy Pratt of 
Gladwin; and his grandparents, Lyle and Betty McDaniel of Beaverton. He was 
preceded in death by a brother, Aaron Lyle Pratt Nov. 7, 1993.
   Rites were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin 
chapel. The Rev. David Sprang officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery, 
Tobacco Township.
