ALVIN PRIEST

   Alvin W. Priest, 54, of Walled Lake, died Sunday, Oct. 12, in St. Mary's 
Hospital, Saginaw, after a short illness. Born in Beaverton Township March 14, 
1932, he moved to Walled Lake 20 years ago from Beaverton. Mr. Priest was in 
maintenance in the Bloomfield School system. 
   Surviving are 3 sons, Terry of Jackson, Jerry and Karry of River Rouge; one 
daughter, Sherryl Campbell of Wood Haven; his parents, Fred and Charlotte 
Priest of Beaverton; 4 brothers, Lawrence, Frank and Neal of Beaverton and 
Roger of Gladwin; 5 sisters, Alice Cobb of Beaverton, Vera Zimmerman and Linda 
Rodabaugh of Durango, Colo., Carol Pratt of Gladwin, and Lucille Slingerland 
of Jackson; 2 half sisters, Lelabelle Stokes and Verna Chase of Toledo, Ohio; 
and one granddaughter. A brother, Dale, preceded him in death in 1965.
   Services were held today, Wednesday, at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, 
Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Arthur Munger officiated and burial was in the 
Beaverton Cemetery.
