CARL PRIEST

   Carl Priest, 76, of 2187 South Long Rd., Beaverton, died suddenly Saturday, 
July 24, at his home. Born in Paulding, Ohio, on November 23, 1900, he had 
lived in Gladwin County for the past 75 years. He was a retired farmer. Mr. 
Priest was married to the former Una O. Spink on August 19, 1934, in 
Beaverton. 
   Besides his wife, he is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Norman (Audrey) 
Higley of Flint, Mrs. David (Erman) Cosa of River Rouge, and Mrs. Harvey 
(Deloris) Jacobs of Phoenix, Ariz.;  2 sons, Stanley of Beaverton and Perry of 
Flint; one brother, Fred of Beaverton; 9 grandchildren and 2 great 
grandchildren. One son and one daughter also preceded him in death.
   Services were held today, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, 
Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Marvin Welsted and the Rev. Carl Lindberg officiated 
and burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery.
