CHARLOTTE A. PRIEST

   Mrs. Charlotte A. Priest, 83, of 3667 Calhoun Rd., Beaverton, died 
Thursday, Aug. 6, in Bortz Health Care Facility, Rose City, after a long 
illness. Born in Saginaw April 21, 1904, she had spent most of her life in 
Gladwin County. The former Charlotte Melzo, she was married to Fred Priest 
Dec. 24, 1926, in Beaverton. He preceded her in death Oct. 18, 1986.
   Surviving are 4 sons, Lawrence, Frank and Neal of Beaverton and Roger of 
Gladwin; 5 daughters, Alice Cobb of Beaverton, Vera Zimmerman of Durango, 
Colo., Carol Pratt of Gladwin, Linda Rodabaugh of California and Lucille 
Slingerland of Napoleon; 2 step-daughters, Lelabelle Stokes and Verna Chase of 
Toledo, Ohio; 2 brothers, Ferris and John Melzo of Saginaw; and one sister, 
Christine Griffith of Roscommon. Two sons, preceded her in death, Dale in 1965 
and Alvin in 1986. 
   Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
Chapel. The Rev. Mark Moore officiated and burial was in the Beaverton 
Cemetery.
