FRED PRIEST

   Fred A. Priest, 96, of Beaverton, died Saturday, Oct. 18, in Tolfree 
Memorial Hospital, West Branch, after a long illness. Born in Toledo, Ohio, 
April 9, 1890, he had spent his lifetime in Gladwin County and farmerd. Mr. 
Priest and the former Charlotte Melzo, were married Dec. 24, 1926, in 
Beaverton.
   Besides his wife, he is survived by 4 sons, Lawrence, Frank and Neal of 
Beaverton and Roger of Gladwin; 7 daughters, Loisbelle Stokes and Verna Chase 
of Toledo, Alice Cobb of Beaverton, Vera Zimmerman and Linda Rodabaugh of 
Durango, Colo., Carol Pratt of Gladwin, and Lucille Slingerland of Jackson; 
several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Two sons, Dale and Alvin, and 2 
daughters, Viola Anteau and Irene Winter, preceded him in death.
   Services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton 
Chapel. The Rev. Mark Moore officiated and burial was in the Beaverton 
Cemetery.
