QUELET FRIDAY Mrs. Laura Ellen Quelet, 82, of Tobacco Township, died Tuesday forenoon, March 5, at Saginaw General Hospital, following an illness of several months. Laura Ellen Bergman was born July 23, 1885, in Hancock County, Ohio, and had been a resident of Gladwin County for 70 years, coming here in 1898. She and Alva Quelet were married in Beaverton May 13, 1906, and he passed away Jan. 13, 1954. Mrs. Quelet was a member of the Beaverton Church of the Brethren. She was treasurer and secretary of the women's work. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. George Rau (Lela), and Mrs. Ola Shaw, both of Gladwin, Mrs. Oscar Brown (Fay) of Beaverton, and Mrs. John Mishler (Naomi) of Huntington, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Nora Mishler, of Coleman; and two brothers, Ralph Bergman of Coleman and Lawrence Bergman of Beaverton; 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Two daughters preceded her in death. Services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of the Brethren and interment will be in the Dale Cemetery.
