Born in Tinney, Ohio, May 26, 1889, the former Miss Maude Miller had been a resident of Gladwin County for 62 years, coming here in 1910. She was married to William A. Miller January 30, 1906, and they made their home in the county until his death April 23, 1954. Mrs. Miller and Harley Quillet were married November 17, 1957, and he also preceded her in death on August 19, 1966. Mrs. Miller was authoress of a column, "Maude Miller Says," that appeared in The Record a number of years ago and was widely read. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Snide of Indian River, and Mrs. Eleanor Burditt of Midland; two step-daughters, Mrs. Irene Walters and Mrs. Mary Leuenberger, both of Beaverton; a brother, Ralph Miller of Mt. Pleasant; one sister, Mrs. Fern Deming of Flint; two grandchildren. Services were held Monday at the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton, with the Rev. F. E. Voller officiating. Burial was in Dale Cemetery.
